China Cabinet Makeover

Several months ago I purchased a China Cabinet from Goodwill for $49, you can read about it here.

I wasn't happy with the look so of course I pulled out the paint and got to work.  Now it is all finished and I am very pleased with the outcome.

Here is a look at the Before, During, and the After.

My intentions were to sale it because I already have a very large China Cabinet, but I'm thinking it may stay awhile.  I like how it feels up this space.

Fall Cloche

Marty at A Stroll Thru Life is having a Fall Cloche Party.  She does an awesome job decorating with her Cloches and there are tons of fabulous ideas linked up.  I hope you go check them out.
Now for my creations.

I may have seen this one before, pretty simple just a few small pumpkins.

I created this one using a Compote from Pfaltzgraff's Grand Hotel collection.

I had fun creating this one.

I took a clear footed dish.

I then used the lid from an apothecary jar.

I put a pumpkin under the upside down dish.

Place the lid on top.

And there you have a cute little Cloche.

TV Armoire reveal

I shared with you here, my best find of the year. I also shared some photos I was using for inspiration.  I love to paint everything, and couldn't wait to get start on this piece that only cost $12.50.

Here is how it looked when I purchased it from Goodwill.

Drum Roll Please...............

And this is what it looks like in my Living Room.

I did absolutely nothing to it, and I love it just the way it is.

This works much better than the lower piece I was using.

You can see where this piece went here, and it's all dressed up for fall.

A New Buffet

Versatility is the Name of the Game

When we moved here, a little more than a year ago, we bought several new pieces of furniture.  One of my favorites I found at a furniture consignment store and re-painted it to suit my needs.  I used it in our Living Room to hold the TV.  You can take a tour of my Living Room here.

This is what it looked like last winter.

A few weeks ago, I got an awesome deal on a TV armoire.  You can see it and the inspiration I found to re-do it here.  I will be showing the TV armoire in it's new home sometime this week, you won't want to miss it.

So, what did I do with the piece above?  Versatility is the name of the game.  I love pieces that can be used in different ways and in different parts of the home.

Now it's in the Dinning room being used as a Buffet, and it's all dressed up for Fall.

I love how it looks in it's new home!
