Thrift Store Dresser

I bought this dresser at a Thrift Store and was excited to see how the makeover would turn out.

I painted the entire surface with a good Primer.

I originally thought I wanted this to be Gray.

I then decided to go a little more bold and took a trip to the paint store.

I love how it turned out.

Another Painted Side Table

I have several tables in my garage that I have picked up here and there and most are in need of some TLC.

The first one I refinished turned out great, and you can read all about it here.

For this one, I stuck with my favorite color of Gray.  It looks great in my living room next to my favorite chair.

It started out brown and the first thing I did was to prime it.

Next I painted the whole thing.  The next step required taping off a section on the top and down the front.

I called these racing stripes.

I love how it turned out.

Painted Side Table

I found the cute little side table on Craig's List and thought it needed a new look.

I don't have a Before, but here I have already primed it and have started to tape off the pattern I want to create.

A little more tape!

After taping off the top, I'm ready to add a different color paint to the top.  I decided to not just roll or brush it on, instead I used a rag and sort of "dabbed" it on, creating depth and texture.

I used a couple of different (but very similar) colors of paint, this helped to enhance the depth and texture.

I added a few accessories, including a few little birds for springtime.
