A New Vignette

Last week I made a run to Hobby Lobby, you can read about my haul here.

I couldn't figure out what to do with the red pitcher, so I put it in a few different places to see where it would look the best.  I really like how it looks with my Goodwill candleholders, you can read about those here in my very first blog post, so I added it to the vignette atop the fridge and lived with it for a few days.  I didn't like it there.  I moved the entire thing on top of the cabinets in the kitchen.

Would need to fill open space on the right side, that could be fun though

Not so sure about that either, so I tried the Dining Room on top of the piece I painted here.  I liked it

but could there be a better spot for it?  I looked around and found a place in my Living Room that needed a change.  I put the plate back on the fridge and added a few different pieces with the pitcher to compliment it.  For now it sits on an end table next to my favorite chair.

I know it looks like this table is in front of a door, but it's really not.  There is plenty of room for the door to open and someone to walk in, this door is rarely used.

The sun was shining through the window so bright when I was taking these pictures.  No complaints about sunshine!!

These chairs are at akward angles, but our living room is long and this just seems to work the best.  Later I will share the entire room and maybe ask for suggestions.

I am so glad I found this little gem, it adds something a little rustic and I love the color and chippyness of the paint.

  1. Love the dramatic red pitcher! And you've combined it with other elements in the same scale, which looks great. I like the arrangement in the dining room and on the end table, where it can be seen better than on top of the cabinets.

  2. It is pretty anywhere you place it. It has a great shape.

  3. Well, I can't decide where you lay those gorgeous treasures?

    I drooled it anywhere, anyway?

    Happy TTT...

    Greetings from Stockholm,

  4. Thank you for visiting and following Red Rose Alley. I wanted to tell you that when I clicked on your picture, it didn't give a link, but luckily I came to you through another blog. Just wanted you to know. I will be visiting with you often, and I am now following you too.
