While visiting family over Christmas vacation my Mom made Chili, and it was OH SO GOOD! I asked her for the recipe and she just laughed, she didn't really have a recipe. I told her to tell me what's in it and I'll take care of the rest.
I love this Chili, and so does my family. So well in fact, that they ask for it about once a week. Here is how I make it.
Ingredients:
2 lbs. ground meat
1 pkg. chili seasoning
3 cans Chili Beans
1 7 oz. can Green Chilies
2 cans Ro-Tel
32 oz. Beef Broth
Brown meat in pan and drain excess grease. Add chili seasoning and stir. Add the next 4 ingredients and simmer for 1 hour.
This is so easy and so good!!
How do I like my Chili? I like to put Frito's in my bowl then add the Chili, and top that with shredded cheese. Then enjoy!
You can adjust any of the ingredients to your liking. More beans? Less beans? Another can of Ro-Tel? Less Broth?
Let me know what you think.

That chili really looks good! I love chili. My husband usually makes it here. I love to eat it with the cheese melted on top and a scoop of sour cream. Yum!
ReplyDeleteYou know, chili is one of my favorite dishes. I like the corn chips with it also. It's especially good on a cold day, isn't it? This recipe looks delicious.

Lorna, I am so proud of you. Your blog is giving me great joy to explore. This is more fun than Pinterest! Because I know you and mostly none of the other folks. You will have your home a showplace, but homey, before long. It is good that you are taking your time before you make major decisions. Now, your old cuz here, has always been impulsive and regretted later. You are doing it the right way. I am happy for you and your family. If you have to relocate it is good that is somewhere you and the family are happy. I'll shut up for now and look some more. Talk later. Love you all, Paulette
ReplyDeleteI don't know if anything can be more fun than Pinterest, LOL! I'm glad you are enjoying it. Check back often because I have a whole house to work on so lots to write about. Thanks for stopping by!
