Recycling Food Containers

After having soup for lunch the other day, I realized the container it came in could be made into something.  I didn't know what but set it aside so I could think about it.  After searching for a pen, a couple days later, I decided to make it into a pencil holder for my desk.

This is what I started with

And this is what it looks like now.

Because of it's roundness, the paper does not lay flat and creates a little texture throughout, and I like that.  It fits my style perfectly.

  2. Lorna,

Grandma Barb sent me over to you and I'm so glad she did! Your article is timely because I have a little girl in my daycare that comes with soup each day in this container style. I feel bad everytime I throw the container away. Now I can do something other than toss it away! You are one creative lady!

    Thanks Grandma Barb!

    Lorna, have a wonderful evening!
