What's a Girl to Do?
I'm trying so hard to get into the Thanksgiving Spirit. For the first time (ever), we are making Thanksgiving magic on our own. We will not be traveling back to Arkansas this year. I have been so excited about cooking my first turkey along with dressing and the works, my first pecan pie, homemade rolls, and anything else I can dream up.
But as it gets closer, I'm having a hard time. You see, I wanted new Thanksgiving plates, and maybe a new center piece, a new flower arrangement of reds, gold, yellow, and brown. I was looking forward to decorating for my first Thanksgiving, but, I've realized my mind has been flooded with other thoughts.
Everywhere I turn, it's Christmas already! I can't buy plates with turkeys on them, when there are Santa's to buy! Vignettes to build with beautiful snow covered houses and trees that glisten. If I'm all about Thanksgiving now, I will be far behind on November 23.

Are you trying to balance Thanksgiving and the glitter of Christmas?
I think I will devote time to both on these days leading up to Thanksgiving. So, I'm still on the look out for plates with a Thanksgiving theme printed on them, but I'll also stop and dream about the glitter of Christmas and start making plans for a Holiday Season filled with Thanks and Celebration. I will Celebrate my blessings and be thankful for the birth of a Savior who came to Earth.
Coming up I will be sharing recipes that I plan to preparing for Thanksgiving and a few projects as well. You can follow me on Pinterest for Thanksgiving and Christmas inspiration.
